Italy's first press-formed metal roofing system, designed to reproduce the shape and appearance of clay tiles, combining the functional advantages of a metal sheet with the aesthetic value of a tiled roof.
Available in following versions: Panel (ventilated, macro-ventilated), LG (Plain, TNT and SOUND), and Ondastil, with its peculiar wavy shape. Tegostil is designed for roofing applications in civil engineering and for the agricultural and livestock breeding industries.
The design of TEGOSTIL products recall traditional clay tiled roofs that are highly appreciated from an architectural viewpoint. TEGOSTIL products are a modern day effective roofing solution suitable for a variety of buildings, in particular for applications in rural areas or where landscape or architectural restrictions by public insitutions apply.
Metalbit® technology applied to Tegostil products has generated the TEGOSTIL SOUND product range, that combines the durability of metal roofing with the soundproofing and acoustic comfort of bituminous multi-layers.
TEGOSTIL SOUND is a benchmark in terms of acoustic comfort among metal roofing sheets/panels and remains one of most performing roofing systems in general.
Tests on the Tegostil Sound Macroventilato products have revealed highest performance results, with a noise abatement value Rw of 28 dB and an anti-drum performance Lɪᴀ of 53 dB(A) under heavy rain.
Roofs with traditional clay tiles installed without fasteners or brackets require a minimum gradient of 35%, whereas the TEGOSTIL product range is suitable for use on roofs with a minimum gradient of 10% and up to vertical (subject to local weather conditions and to local building regulations).
The TEGOSTIL roofing systems can be installed on structures of different make including wooden decks, brick and mason works, concrete structures, or directly over wooden or metal purlins and rafters.
The TEGOSTIL systems include a vast assortment of accessories and specialist fabrication parts that make this product range a complete and integrated roofing system.
The TEGOSTIL PANEL product range is design promote the flow of air below the panel's lower face. It provides insulation from heat and sun irradiation as well as physical protection and living comfort to under roof spaces.
Specific monitoring has proven that the venting effect generated by the TEGOSTIL PANEL product range only adds to the insulation properties of this roofing system, with temperature abatement values measured in under roof spaces in the order of 8°C - 10°C , compared to non-vented roofing systems.
The MONO version of TEGOSTIL PANEL promotes the evacuation of internal moisture from within the building, by conveying it towards the constant airflow along the venting channels. As a result, all interstitial condensation phenomena are prevented. The roofing insulation layer remain will stay dry and healthy and will offer a consistent perfomance over time contributing to an extended useful life of the roof.
TEGOSTIL PANEL prevents damages caused by internal moisture such as mold and condensation, with consequent reduction or loss of the roof's thermal insulating performance.
The TEGOSTIL PANEL insulation layer consists of expanded polystyrene (EPS), either white or graphite-additivated. It is a rigid lightweight material that offers excellent thermal resistance and the venting effect of TEGOSTIL PANEL only adds to its thermal insulation performance. Permeable to water vapor but watertight, it is a healthy and unassailable by mold.
The insulation layer ensures reduced energy consumption, with significant savings on energy bills and furthering environmental sustainability.
Available in modular sized sheets and panels as well as in customized lengths for greater ease of installation.
TEGOSTIL roofing elements allow for quick and intuitive installation, with low margins for error during installation works and consistent savings compared to traditional clay tiled roofing.
The TEGOSTIL systems are all dry fitted, and require no use of concrete, grouts or adhesives. No drying or curing time is required: the installation works are fast, intuitive and accurate. As a result, the construction site will remain cleaner and the building will become accessible after completion of the roofing works, with considerable savings on hire of plant and equipment.
The TEGOSTIL roofing elements weigh 10 times less than tradition clay tile roofing.
TEGOSTIL sheets and panels are widely used for roof refurbishments in general and are most suited where supporting structures offer limited load-bearing capacity.
In new buildings the TEGOSTIL range allows for savings on the structural design and construction or with unaltered structural design, to increase the free space available inside the building.
The TEGOSTIL range is ideal for use in areas subject to seismic risks, and thanks to its lightweight structure and unique installation system, it reduces the static load on pillars and foundations.
The surface finish of all TEGOSTIL roofing elements is smooth and far less porous than traditional clay tiles, offering reduced adhesion to airborne particles with minimal accumulation of dirt on the roof surface and resulting reduced maintenance. TEGOSTIL roofing elements and systems offer also an excellent resistance to weathering agents. When correctly installed, they remain highly stable to wind uplift and are resilient to frost and hail.
Contrary to traditional clay tiled roofs where damage caused by foot traffic, and consequent expensive repairs, represent a permanent risk factor, TEGOSTIL systems offer an easily accessible surface and that is unaffected by normal foot traffic.
TEGOSTIL roofing products are made of natural, recoverable and recyclable materials, such as steel, aluminium or copper sheeting. At the end of the roof's useful life these materials are replaceable and recyclable and become an environmental-friendly economic resource.
The sintered expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation of TEGOSTIL roofing systems consists 98% of air, it is non-toxic and totally inert. It does not contain chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or hydro chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs).
The high thermal insulating properties allow for substantial energy savings and are consistent with policies of environmental sustainability.
Press-formed metal roofing and cladding system available with the shape and appearance of clay tiles or, in the Ondastil version, with a peculiar wavy shape. Tegostil panels consist of a metal weather liner combined with an insulation layer and various alternative internal liners subject to destination of use.
The insulation layer is molded to form an air chamber under the profiled metal sheet to promote a consistent flow of air that will add to the thermal insulation performance of this roofing panel
The panel has an external weather liner of profiled metal sheet and a slightly fluted internal liner.
The panel has a single external weather liner of profiled metal sheet whereas the internal liner consist of fibreglass.
It is resistant to organic acidic substances and to saline mists that are typical of the farming industry.
The panel has a single external weather liner of profiled metal sheet; no internal liner on the lower face.
The insulation layer is molded to form an increased air chamber with a cross section of 350cm2/lin. m that will ensure a highly effective venting function, possibly the most effective among insulated roofing panels.
