COPERNIT PRODUCTS ARE MADE IN ITALY
Copernit manufactures all its products at its production facilities in Italy, and guarantees costant quality control on all processes starting from the choice of premium grade raw materials.
Copernit's Quality Control System ensures consistency of all Manufacturer's Declared Values (MDV) as provided for by current European Law (CE marking of construction products).
The Quality System of Copernit is structured and certified in compliance with ISO 9001.
Copernit is a member of GBC Italy, an association that supports the spreading of a building culture that is sustainable and respectful of the environment. In over forty years of activity Copernit S.r.l. has acquired great expertise in the design and production of roofing, waterproofing and cladding products.
THE ORIGINS
1975
Starts the production of traditional cementitious boards for the domestic market.
CONSOLIDATION
CONSOLIDATION
1989
During the 1980s, COPERNIT grew and established itself in the production of fibre cement roofing sheets throughout Central and Northern Italy.
EVOLUTION

1991
The polymer-bitumen membranes’ Division is established and the first production line is installed.
1994
The Metal Roofing Systems Division is born. In the same year, start of exports.
1996
The productive capacity for polymer-bitumen membranes is doubled with the installation of a second production line.
1998
COPERNIT launches the Metalbit product range, the innovative patented multi-layer anti-drum sheets.

2004
Installation of a third line for the production of polymerbitumen membranes.
2009
COPERNIT is an established reality on both domestic and international markets: at the end of the 2000s the company is characterized by a steady growth of volumes, various international quality certifications and exports sales to over 40 countries.

2011
The production of Coperflex insulated metal panels with variable radius begins. During the same year, the Tinsmithery Centre of COPERNIT is created.
2012
The production of Copertherm insulated roofing and waterproofing panels begins.
2015
Installation of the fourth line for the production of polymer-bitumen membranes.
2016
Acquisition of the Tegostil brand and production lines.
The already innovative fume extraction system covering the entire productive area is integrated with activated carbon filters to abate also odour emissions, making it the most advanced centralized filter unit in the waterproofing sector.
2017
The new COPERNIT Office Headquarters is inaugurated, with larger office areas and a further development of Copernit Lab, with new equipment of cutting edge technology.
2018
Copernit Academy is established to provide training courses to Customers, internal staff and sales staff.
2024
COPERNIT joins the SOPREMA Group.
2025
Copernit celebrates fifty years since the start of its operations.
Production Plant Revamping: the comprehensive upgrade of the first production line enhances manufacturing performance to ensure the highest standards of quality and service that are the hallmark of Copernit.

Waterproofing systems
The waterproofing systems consist of all the products and the accessories designed to protect a structure from rain as well as from external water. They include polymer-bitumen membranes, Copertherm and thermal-insulating roofing systems, liquid products, shingles and all ancillary products and accessories.
COPERNIT guarantees the highest quality standards of its products that are included in waterproofing systems for civil and industrial buildings and for structural works (car parks, bridges, viaducts).
POLYMER-BITUMEN MEMBRANES represent the heart of the Division and are the result of the excellence in knowhow achieved through constant Research and Development by Copernit Lab.
These products are manufactured with 4 ultramodern production lines. With its latest two production units installed in 2004 and 2015, and the total renewal of a third production unit in 2017, COPERNIT has among the most advanced production technology in the bituminous waterproofing Industry in Italy and in Europe.

A wide range of carefully crafted processes allow the use of Copernit profiled or corrugated metal sheeting and panels on awide sariety of roofing and cladding constructions of different shape: straight, curved, cusped, cranked or design-formed elements.
Copernit Metal Roofing Systems are designed to meet the multiple requirements of protection, thermal insulation, sound insulation, living comfort and aesthetic value. They include profiled and corrugated sheets and insulated panels, characterized by different profiles and shapes, along with all related accessories and specilist fabrication parts , standard or customized.
