COPER PIR
Insulation boards of rigid PIR foam
Description
Description

COPER PIR is a range of insulation boards made of rigid closed-cell polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam, self-extinguishing and expanded without the use of CFCs or HCFCs, faced with:

- on both sides: a multilayer gas-tight facing that ensures high-performance insulation, with a declared thermal conductivity λD of 0.022 W/mK (COPER PIR MS);
- on both sides: saturated glass veil facing (COPER PIR VV);
- on the upper side: bituminized glass veil laminated with non-woven polyester – on the lower side: mineralized glass veil (COPER PIR CV BI).

Recommended destinations of use

COPER PIR MS offers a superior thermal insulation performance and is suitable for use on for flat or pitched roof constructions, in floors and in cavity walls. COPER PIR MS is designed to withstand heat-welding to polymer-modified bituminous membranes.

COPER PIR VV is specifically designed to be used in combination with heat-welded or otherwise hot-applied polymer-modified bituminous membranes.
COPER PIR VV is suitable also for use in roof constructions under exposed bituminous waterproofing layers, where good resilience to heat and to installation by means of a propane torch is required.

COPER PIR CV BI is specifically designed for use in flat or pitched roof constructions, in floors and also under exposed bituminous waterproofing layers, where good resilience to heat and to installation by means of a propane torch is required.
